Terbutaline Sulphate , Bromhexine HCl , Guaiphenesin & Menthol
Koforil contains combination of Terbutaline which is a β2-adrenergic receptor agonist which stimulates β2 receptors thus producing relaxation of Bronchial Smooth muscles. Guaiphenesin which is an expectorant drug that removes phlegm from the airways & reduces secretions of Tenacious secretions. Bromhexine which is a mucolytic & Secretolytic agent increases the production of Serous mucus in the respiratory tract making phlegm thinner & less viscous. Menthol that relieves the bronchus & provide cooling effect. Koforil is indicated in cough, breathlessness, bronchitis & pneumonia. Koforil Syrup is a dosage form for in a palatable taste.
